Star Capital SGR S.p.A. is an independent asset management company focused on investments in small and medium sized Italian companies (SMEs).

Star Capital is active in the management of closed-end investment funds since November 2002 and since May 2010 its capital is fully owned by its management.

Our Company

FUNDS UNDER MANAGEMENT

Over years Star Capital has raised and managed four closed-end private equity funds ("Star Social Responsible Fund", "Star Bridge Social Responsible Fund", "Star III Private Equity Fund" and "Star IV Private Equity Fund"). The funds have carried out 27 investments in Italian industrial and service companies resulting one of the most active private equity player on the Italian mid market.

SSRF

Star Social Responsible Fund, with a final endowment of € 100,3 million, started operations in November 2002. The investment activity was completed in April 2006 with 8 investments, all divested . The Fund was liquidated at the end of 2015.

SBSRF

Star Bridge Social Responsible Fund, with a final endowment of € 70 million, started operations in May 2006. The investment activity was completed in December 2011 with 6 investments, 5 of which  divested. The Fund is currently under its final liquidation.

Star III

Star III Private Equity Fund, with a final endowment of € 87,7 million, started operations in August 2012. The investment activity was completed in July 2018 with 7 investments, 2 of which have been divested.

Star IV

Star IV Private Equity Fund, with a final endowment of € 140 million, started operations in August 2018 and has carried out 6 investments.

TEAM

Star Capital Management Team members have an extensive experience in the private equity sector and have been working together for over 15 years, on average.

All of them have focused their entire professional activity on the Italian small and medium-sized companies, whose characteristics, potentialities and needs they know well.
